Wright Construction was brought in to support a high-profile downtown Nashville project for Modera Gulch with a hard deadline attached. The customer’s team needed help completing complex concrete work to keep the prime contractor on schedule, and Wright’s Nashville Division stepped in to make it happen. The scope included city sidewalks, an ADA-compliant ramp at the intersection of two busy city streets, entrance stairs, and a topcast walkway that was originally part of the building package. With Luke Napier leading the project and Rod Perry coordinating directly with city inspectors, the team built a schedule that met tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results. Because of Wright’s flexibility and responsiveness, the team not only completed the requested work but also secured additional tasks, helping the customer meet its obligations to the prime general contractor.

About Modera Gulch

Modera Gulch is a 15-story mixed-use high-rise located at 810 Division Street in Nashville’s Gulch neighborhood, developed by Mill Creek Residential. The community offers 378 studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes along with roughly 17,850 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and the building was constructed to National Green Building Standards. Sitting in one of Nashville’s most walkable and densely developed neighborhoods, Modera Gulch places residents steps from restaurants, live music venues, and boutique retail while giving them direct access to major employers throughout downtown Nashville.

A project of this scale and location comes with added complexity. Building at the intersection of two busy city streets in a dense urban core means every phase of exterior concrete work has to account for pedestrian traffic, vehicle flow, and coordination with city infrastructure and inspection requirements, on top of the usual pressure to hit a hard opening deadline for a high-visibility residential development.

Why This Work Mattered

City sidewalks and an ADA-compliant ramp at a busy downtown intersection are not optional finishing touches. They are required infrastructure that connects a new development to the surrounding public right-of-way and ensures the site is accessible to everyone who lives in, works at, or visits the building.
